Ramallah – Beitunia — Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company announced the signing of a strategic sponsorship agreement with the Higher Council for Youth and Sports to support the 10th edition of the Palestine International Marathon, scheduled to take place in April 2026. The marathon returns after a two-year pause due to the war on the Gaza Strip, and the severe hardships, loss, and devastation experienced across the Palestinian homeland.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Talal Nasereddin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company, and Ms. I’tidal Abdel Ghani, Director General of the Palestine International Marathon, during a ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Beitunia–Ramallah.

Ms. Abdel Ghani emphasized that this marks the first year Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company joins the marathon as a strategic partner, describing the partnership as a significant step forward in strengthening cooperation with national institutions, particularly within the scope of social responsibility. She affirmed the Higher Council’s commitment to sustaining this collaboration in the long term, in support of the marathon’s national, athletic, and humanitarian objectives.

Mr. Nasereddin underscored the importance the company places on empowering Palestinian youth and supporting diverse sports initiatives. He highlighted the marathon’s growing impact, reflected in the wide-ranging participation in its four race categories from runners inside and outside Palestine, and in the powerful messages it conveys about preserving and reinforcing Palestinian national identity.

He added that the timing of this partnership coincides with the 50th anniversary of Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company, marking a milestone year for the company as it continues to invest in initiatives that serve the community. Mr. Nasereddin expressed hope that this strategic collaboration with the Palestine International Marathon will continue to grow in the years ahead.
